I know that having all the supplies and tools you need for a crop is a great feeling but knowing you have them within reach at any given time will keep you stressfree and more productive in your creative adventures. I have taken it upon myself to create a list that might hopefully make your life a lot easier.
I have comprised a list of items that I feel (in my opinion only) should be packed in your main class/crop bag. This bag should be stocked and kept in the same place at all times so that you can just grab and go when you get the urge to create. Get in the habit of restocking the bag as soon as you get home from a class/crop….setting a routine like this helps to prevent that overwhelming feeling of disorganization.
Below is a list of items that I think should be in your bag at all times.
-double sided tape or tape runner
-regular scotch tape
-vellum tape or dots
Xyron X Machine
Pop dots (varied sizes)
Some type of eyelet setter
Rub on tool or popsicle stick
Some type of craft blade (like the Fiskars fingertip craft blade) w/mat
Some form of a file (like the BG Precision File Set)
The next set of items are recommended but are totally optional. You know what you do so you should know if you need these items or not.
Xyron Cheetah 2″ or 4″ runner
Extra blades for trimmer and craft knife
Small strip of sandpaper
Small jar/bottle of glue like Aleenes Tacky Glue
Small calendar to keep in your bag and to use for crop/class dates and/or availability.
Of course, if you are like me…..bring your ink chalks or stamp pads and daubers to everything which is why my chalk container is close to my bag so I can grab both at the same time.
