Sneak Peek at Layouts for New Monthly Kit Club!!!!

Hello lovies, I have some great news to share….I had been asked to do a monthly kit club for the shows a while back but with everything going on, hadn’t been able to get it together.  I know there are so many kit clubs out there; online and at the shows but it will be and was so much fun to create kits again.  At this point, the kits are not ready to sell yet so I will not do a big reveal until then but I could not resist telling you about it and also showing you some sneak peeks.

There will be three double page layouts each month and I am tossing around the idea of maybe an alternative double pager each month too but I am not sure yet.  There will always be a fun theme, not just based on holidays and papers but also introducting new product, techniques and other fun things.

For my first month kits, I wanted something that was very true to who I am and would represent what techniques and style I love most.  I knew that I wanted to cut out, layer and pop dot using paper as embellishments since this was, I believe to be my true scrapbooking style.

I was sent 6 different lines from BoBunny and decided to choose three lines from those to complete the kits.  I decided to use Country Garden, Ambrosia, and Alora because the “spring-like” colors really attracted me.

If you are interested in any of the kits, stay tuned for more information on where and when to purchase them online from Strictly Scrapbooking…..and now to the peeks!!!!!

Country Garden

Ambrosia

Alora

Thanks for stopping  by and looking and taking this journey with me…….special thanks to those that take the time to comment….you make my day!!!  Take care and love each other!!!!  Sharon

More Layout Examples

More layouts done and at the vendor’s booths now!!!  These next couple ones are with Kristi at DollarScrapbooking and all of them are Creative Imaginations lines.

I really liked creating the opening on this birthday line…kind of like someone took a yummy bite out of it.

This next one is a really cute outdoorsy/camping line that has some great expoxy stickers that I used to create a “camp-like” scene at the bottom.

The next two are from a school line and I used it for my son’s school picture and also for one of his awards.  Both the colored pencil piece and apples are from die cut papers that I disassembled and reconstructed (gotta love that!!)  I added real crayons to the first layout just for FUN!!  Great expoxy stickers in this line also.

I just had fun with this Mickey/vacation line….even though I have never been to Disneyworld or DisneyLand (hint, hint…my CA and FL friends…LOL).  I also went “green” with this one and used the packaging from the Creative Imaginations buttons to create “Mickey”.

I went old school with the cooking/baking line and created a recipe box…the fun part about this was I actually had a recipe card stamp so I created some cards and used the expoxy stickers to decorate them too.

And this last one was just a simple layout that involved the die cut papers that I chopped off and used at the top and bottom of the layout and then another sheet to randomly pop dot the tools to the existing ones.  Nuts (and bolts) about you…..(hehehehee)!!!

The next couple of layouts went to Matt at The CraftersNook using the yummy product from Marina at Mon Ami Gabby.  These guys are wonderful and if you get the chance to see them at a CK Convention or one of the Scrapbook Expo shows, walk up and introduce yourself.

Love using the mesh on these two layouts….

This one was fun….I wanted something blingy for the picture of my nephew dressed up as Michael Jackson……so I added the teardrop border and black/silver jewel mesh (along the right side) and randomly placed the gems along the left side.

A soft layout using the pink baby girl clothes and pink flowers.

This was a make and take I created so Matt could have at his booth so for $5, you can make the ADORE layout using the delish white fabric rose ribbon, butterfly and flourish bling.

Thanks again for looking, take care and tell the ones you love that you love them every chance you can…….Sharon

Making Decor For Baby’s Room—Baby Shower Gifts

It is no surprise that I love building the glass blocks so when I was invited to a baby shower recently, I thought that I would make one as a gift.  I was delighted to learn that it was a baby girl so I could totally “pink” out.  I knew that I also wanted to create a set by building a page and putting it in a frame to give along with the glass block and I wanted the glass block to have lights so that it can be used as a possible night light in the baby’s room.

For the layout, I started with some MME paper that I had from a paper pack….I really liked it because of the soft colors and because it included pink paper with crowns on it, since my friend has called her little bean a princess ever since she found out it was going to be a little girl.  I then created the layout by layering the papers and cutting a frame from a free SVG that I found at SVGCUTS.  I then stacked on the Prima flowers (to include half a Prima vine) and some pink flourish bling.  To finish it off, I added a small bling crown and cut the baby’s name, Catalia, out of white sparkly paper.  I cut the letters out four times each and then glued and stacked them together to create the look of chipboard.  A pink outline of the letters behind the white ones made them really stand out.   For the frame, I brushed some glossy accents around the outside and then dusted it with Diamond Dust to make it really sparkle and shine.  I found the wooden word “Shhh” at a local Ben Franklin store that I thought would look really cute with the frame so I also dusted it also and glued it on top.

For the glass box, I used coordinating papers to wrap around the block and on top of the block.  I also made a small “layout” for the picture frame that I glued on top of the glass block.  I wanted some white flowers with pink centers so I created my own by using some white Prima flowers and then painting the centers with pink (using brush strokes from the center out) and then sprinkling some more Diamond Dust on the wet paint…you can never have enough D-Dust).  After all the flowers were adhered to the glass block, the pink bling flourish added and some random leaves placed, I then added the lights.  This was just a small pack of battery operated rice lights that I twisted and hid in between and behind the flowers.  The battery pack is located behind the frame.  The glass block also has an opening in the back where an additional string of lights can be added if desired.

Thank you for stopping by, leaving a comment and/or just taking a peek………remember to take care of yourself and love one another……….Sharon

Louisville, KY Bound — layouts, not me.

Just finished some more examples and as we speak are on their way to Kentucky for the Creating Keepsakes Expo Show.  This was supposed to be my first show this year but sadly enough, I have to go to court once more with the ex so instead I sent these guys packing without me.

These layouts are going to Sophia at Strictly Scrapbooking……..she is the Prima and MME queen so if you are close to Louisville, stop by her booth and get the latest and greatest product.  Her and Laurie will take really good care of you.

The color of the layouts are a bit off because my photography skills are surely lacking but take my word when I say that the true colors of the pages are soooo delish!!!

This one is from Authentique (quickly becoming one of my favorite companies!!) from the Genuine collection, beautiful faded denim blues and sunshine yellows.

Another from Authentique…the Loyal collection…..lush blues and greens (a perfect combination for those outdoor pictures).  I told you my grandson is a silly little boy….always providing me with pure delight and amusement (not to mention some pretty awesome pictures)!!

Everybody knows that MME has been a favorite of mine (and everyone else..HA) for a while.  This one is from the Miss Caroline line…love the rubons for this line.

Another one from MME’s Miss Caroline….and loving that new Prima vine.

And one from MME’s Follow Your Heart…

Okay, when Sophia sent me a new product called Dazzles (Hot Off The Press), I was not very impressed…..I don’t like stickers very much, especially ones that you cannot get any dimension with, but after finishing this layout, I will have to say it is my favorite out of this bunch so just goes to show you, shouldn’t judge a sticker by the sheet!!!  The paper is also Hot Off The Press and it is from the Steampunk line.  And I did get my dimension fix from the hot air balloon that HOTP actually created a pop out sheet of different elements made especially for popdotting together….gotta love that!!!

And stay tuned for more Creative Imaginations for Kristi at Dollar Scrapbooking and for Matt at Crafters Nook.  Take care and love one another!!!  Sharon

Endings and Beginnings

If you are wondering where I have been since my last post in November……life has happened in the worst ways.   I am sorry to have left you for a while but there has been so much tragedy, death and drama in my family,  I have not had the energy nor time to devote to anything crafty or even felt the slightest bit creative.

But now that some time has passed and with 3 new reasons to celebrate and block all the sadness for a while,  it is time to get back to work!!!!

Oh, are you wondering about the 3 new reasons????…….I am going to be a NONI again, yay!!!!   Not one, but both my daughters are pregnant (11 weeks apart) and we are also planning a May wedding for my youngest daughter (if she will be able to fit in her dress that is!!)…..three great reasons to be happy again, wouldn’t you agree!!!!

And about that work, the show circuit has started back up and while I will be traveling around working some shows later, right now I am getting boxes on my doorstep of wonderfully delish product to create example layouts and projects for the vendors.  It feels so good to be back creating something fun and working with all the new product that has come out.

First, I want to show you some of the things I did with the new lines by Creative Imaginations…..sent to me by Kristi Coy, owner of Dollar Scrapbooking, who carries all these wonderful products in her booth at the Scrapbook Expos and Creating Keepsake Conventions.  If you get the chance to go to one of the shows in a city near you, stop by her booth and tell her HI.

And on with the show…..first is the LOVE DANCE line:

And this one is from the Oceanside collection…love beachy blues and browns!!!

I also made a cute shadowbox with the Oceanside line…..a great place to display the shells found on a perfect beach day.

This is one of my favorite CI lines…..SongBird…featuring my oh so handsome and silly grandson!!!!

And another one of my favorite lines…Preposterous…this was fun to make, cutting out the curtain and then adding the pleated swag.

This layout is from the collection called Tea Party, and as you can see, I took it in a completely different direction.

Another beach line called Nautical…featuring my three favorite waterside treasures.

And another project created with the Family Matters line….a simple purse with places for pictures of Mom, Dad and Grandparents.

Stay tuned for more example layouts from all the newest lines…..until then….stay safe and love your family while they are here….Sharon
